This policy explains what happens to your information when you use abudhabidesertsafaritour.com or contact Golden Dunes Desert Safari. It is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, message us and we will explain it in plain words.

What we collect

Only what you choose to send us. In practice that is:

• Your WhatsApp or phone number
• Your email, if you give us one
• The date you want, how many people, and their ages if children are coming
• Your hotel, building or pickup area
• For self-drive guests, sometimes a vehicle plate number so the camp can let you in
• Anything else you decide to tell us — dietary needs, mobility needs, a birthday

What we do not collect

We think this list matters more than the one above.

• No card or bank details. There is no payment on this website. You pay cash or card at the camp on the day, and the card machine belongs to the camp, not to us.
• No accounts and no passwords. There is nothing to sign up for.
• No passport or Emirates ID. We do not need them and we do not ask.
• No tracking pixels selling you back to advertisers.

How we use it

To run your trip and nothing else: confirming your booking, working out your pickup time, giving the driver a name and a location, and answering your questions before and after.

We do not sell, rent or trade your details. We do not add you to a marketing list. When your trip is over, we leave you alone unless you message us again.

Where your message actually lives

Worth being clear about, because it is unusual. The enquiry forms on this website do not save anything to a database here. When you press send, the form opens WhatsApp on your own device with the details already typed — you send it, and the conversation lives in WhatsApp on your phone and on ours.

That means WhatsApp’s own privacy terms apply to the conversation itself, and it also means you have a copy of everything we agreed. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, email us instead at info@abudhabidesertsafaritour.com.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets a small number of cookies. Some are technical and keep the site working. Some are analytics, which tell us anonymously which pages people read and where they give up — that is how we know which pages to improve.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time and the site will still work. Nothing on this site requires a cookie to function.

Third parties

• WhatsApp (Meta) — conversations happen there under their terms.
• Our hosting provider — keeps standard server logs, as every website does.
• Analytics — aggregate visitor statistics, not individuals.
• The camp and drivers — they get your name, pickup point and group size, because otherwise they cannot collect you. Nothing more.

How long we keep things

WhatsApp conversations stay until they are no longer useful for running or following up your trip. We do not keep a customer database, because we do not have one to keep.

Your rights

Under the UAE’s personal data protection law you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. With us that is a short conversation rather than a legal process — message us and say so, and we will delete the chat and confirm that we have.

Children

This website is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. When a family books, the adult making the booking gives us the children’s ages so we can arrange the right vehicle and seats. That is the only reason we ask.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material we will change the date at the top. We will not quietly broaden what we collect.
