Almost every booking we take starts as a WhatsApp message. It suits this business: you can send a voice note from the airport, we can send you the exact pickup pin, and the whole conversation stays on your phone for the day of the trip.
Send your date, how many people, and where you are staying. Most messages get a reply within minutes during the day, and we do watch the phone overnight too.

Where we operate
The camp sits in Al Khatim, about 45 minutes out
Golden Dunes is a service-area business, not a shop. There is no office you can walk into on Khalifa Street, and we would rather say that plainly than print an address that leads you to a locked door.
What we do have is a camp in the Al Khatim dunes, roughly 45 minutes inland from Abu Dhabi city, and a fleet of Land Cruisers that come to you. Everything is arranged before you leave your hotel: the driver name, the plate, the time.
If you are driving yourself, we send GPS coordinates on WhatsApp the day before, along with the last stretch of road in plain words — the turn-off is easy to miss in the dark.

Pickup
Where we collect you from
Two ways to reach the desert, depending on which package you pick.
- Shared coach meeting pointsAl Wahda Mall, Mazyad Mall, and Safeer Mall in Shabiya. You make your own way to whichever is closest and the coach leaves on time. This is the AED 50 option.
- Door pickup by Land CruiserHotel lobby, apartment building or villa, anywhere across Abu Dhabi city, Khalifa City, Yas Island, Saadiyat and Al Reem. The driver messages you when he is outside.
- Driving yourselfMeet us at the camp. We send coordinates and directions the evening before, and someone waits at the entrance to guide you in.
- Coming from Dubai or the airportPossible, but it changes the timing and the price. Message us with your flight or hotel and we will work it out with you.

Safaris run from before sunrise until after midnight, so the phone stays on. Late-night messages get answered too — usually a little slower, but they get answered.

Quick answers to the things people ask first
What does it cost?
From AED 35 per person if you drive yourself, AED 50 on the shared coach, AED 100 for door pickup and AED 250 for the full evening safari with VIP seating and a quad. The full price and timings page lists every package side by side.
How do I pay?
Cash or card at the camp, on the day. VAT is included and there is no card surcharge. We do not take deposits and there is no payment on this website.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel up to 24 hours before your pickup and you owe nothing. No form to fill in — a WhatsApp message is enough. Full detail on the cancellation policy page.
How far ahead should I book?
A day or two is usually fine. Weekends, Eid and the December to February peak fill up faster, so give us a week if you can.
What should I send you?
Date, number of people, your hotel or area, and whether anyone in the group is pregnant, elderly or has back trouble. That last one changes which vehicle we send.
Do you run private trips?
Yes — your own car, your own driver, your own timing. Say so in the message and we will price it for your group size.

Tell us the date and how many of you there are. We will come back with a price, a pickup time and nothing else to worry about.
