What luxury actually costs in this region — and where we sit
There is a real luxury tier in the Emirates and it is not us. Rather than pretend, here is the whole ladder with our own products placed honestly inside it.

Why we would print this
Because the single loudest complaint in this whole category is people paying a premium and arriving at a camp with two hundred other guests. If your budget is AED 2,000 a head and you want a private cabana, we are not the right company and we would rather tell you now than take the booking.

What AED 80 of VIP seating changes, and what it does not
This is our own add-on and we are going to be blunt about it, because “the VIP was not VIP” is the review nobody wants and everybody earns by being vague.
What it changes
- A front-row cushioned majlis bay by the live BBQ, not the back row
- You are not queueing behind sixty people for food
- A proper seat with a back on it rather than a low bench
- Best view of the tanoura and the fire show
- Somewhere your group sits together instead of scattered
What it does not change
- The camp is still shared — same camp, same people, same evening
- The food is the same buffet, cooked the same way
- The camel ride and sandboarding are the same
- The shows are the same shows at the same times
- You are not in a separate enclosure with a rope around it
AED 80 per seat. Worth it on a busy winter weekend, honestly not worth much on a quiet Tuesday in October. Ask us how full your date looks and we will tell you.
The real premium
Buy the hour, not the enclosure
Here is the thing nobody in this market says out loud. At a shared camp you cannot buy space — but you can buy time. The desert at six in the evening in January has every operator in it. The same desert at sunrise has almost nobody, and it costs us more to run because a whole crew goes out for one group.
That is where our expensive packages actually come from. Not a rope around some cushions — a time of day when the dunes are empty and the light is doing something you cannot photograph at any other hour.
A claim you can check
Ask any operator how many people will be at their camp on your date. Ours varies and we will give you a real answer. If somebody quotes you a private camp at AED 450 a head, ask them where it is and how many it seats.

The premium options, and who each one is for
Evening safari, VIP seat and a quad
Our fullest standard evening: front-row majlis seating and a single-seater quad ride on top of everything the camp already includes. The sensible upgrade for most people, and the one we book most.
Sundowner dune safari
Out for the last two hours of light with Arabic coffee on a ridge, before the evening crowd arrives. For couples, photographers, and anyone who wants the desert without three hundred people in it.
Sunrise desert safari
The quietest thing we run. Out before first light, cold clean air, dunes with nobody’s tyre tracks on them yet. Expensive because a full crew goes out at 4 AM for one group, and worth it for exactly that reason.
Private evening, luxury Land Cruiser
The newer, roomier vehicle for your group alone, with your own timing. At four people that works out at AED 250 each — the same as the VIP evening, with a private car instead of a shared one.
Overnight in the desert
Stay after the day trips leave. The camp empties, the fire stays lit, and the sky out there is the actual reason to do this. Breakfast before you drive back.

When the private car beats paying VIP per head
The private luxury Land Cruiser is AED 1,000 for the vehicle. The VIP evening is AED 250 a head. Four people is where they meet.

Every price is the final price
The complaint that comes up again and again on premium safaris in this region is not the money. It is being handed a turban and then charged fifty dirhams for it, or being quietly haggled with all evening after paying for VIP.

Luxury and VIP safaris — your questions
Is your camp private?
No. It is a shared Bedouin camp in the Al Khatim desert and we say so at the top of this page. What we sell as premium is better seating, a better vehicle, a private car, or a quieter hour of the day — not exclusivity of the camp.
How many people are at the camp?
It depends entirely on the date. Winter weekends are busy, weeknights and shoulder months are much quieter. Ask us about your specific date and we will give you a real answer rather than a marketing one.
What is a luxury desert safari in Abu Dhabi actually worth?
Genuine luxury in the Emirates — a private cabana, plated multi-course dining, your own guide — starts around AED 1,900 a head and is mostly run out of Dubai. Anything sold as luxury at AED 250 is a standard safari with a different heading on the page. Ours included.
What does VIP majlis seating give me?
A front-row cushioned bay by the live BBQ, no queueing for food, a seat with a back, and the best view of the shows. It does not give you a separate camp, different food or different activities. AED 80 per person.
Is VIP seating worth AED 80?
On a busy winter weekend, yes. On a quiet weeknight in October, honestly not much. Ask us how full your date looks before you add it.
Which is your quietest package?
The sunrise safari at AED 1,000. Out before first light, and the dunes have nobody else on them. The sundowner at AED 850 is the next quietest.
Why is sunrise more expensive than an evening safari?
Because a full crew — drivers, camp staff, cook — goes out before four in the morning for one group instead of forty. The cost is the exclusivity, and that part is real.
Should I book VIP seats or the private car?
Four people is the crossover. Below four, VIP seats cost less. At four they are identical and the private car gives you more. Above four the private car is cheaper outright.
Do you serve alcohol?
No. It is a family camp and alcohol is not served.
Is the food better on a premium package?
No, and we are not going to say otherwise. It is the same buffet, grilled the same way. What VIP changes is where you sit and not having to queue for it.
Will I be sold things at the camp?
Say no once and that is the end of it. Every add-on price is printed on this website, and it is the same price at the camp.
Do you offer a private camp anywhere?
Not ourselves. It exists in this region, mainly in Dubai, and it costs several times what we charge. Ask us and we will tell you honestly what is out there.
Do I pay a deposit?
No. Nothing is charged on this website. Cash or card at the camp, VAT included, free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup.
What about an overnight stay?
AED 450 per person. You stay after the evening groups leave, which is when the camp actually becomes quiet. Breakfast before you drive back.
Can I combine several of these?
Yes. Private car plus VIP seating plus a quad is a common combination. Message us with what you want and we will price the whole thing in one number.
