We can put a cake in front of you at sunset with your group around a table. We cannot give you a private camp, a DJ shout-out or your own playlist — and every page selling you a “birthday package” should say which of those it actually means.

What a shared camp can and cannot do for a birthday
This is the section every birthday-package page needs and none of them have. Ours is a shared Bedouin camp with other guests in it, and that shapes what is possible.

If you want the camp to yourselves
It exists in this region and it is expensive — exclusive camp hire runs into five figures before you have fed anybody. If that is what “birthday package” means to you, we are not the right company and we would rather tell you now than at the camp.
The cake
Sixty minutes in a car at 35 degrees
The thing nobody warns you about. It is 45 minutes to an hour to the camp, the car is air-conditioned but the boot is not always, and buttercream does not survive an Abu Dhabi afternoon.
- Bring your ownPerfectly fine and cheaper than any package. A half-kilo cake in this city starts under AED 100.
- Choose the right kindFondant, cheesecake or anything chilled and firm travels. Fresh cream and tall tiered cakes do not. Ask the bakery for a cold-transport box.
- Give it to the driverHand it over at pickup and it rides in the cabin with the air conditioning, not the boot. It stays in the vehicle until you want it.
- Candles and windThe desert has wind after dark. Bring the tall relighting kind or a small windbreak, or do the candles before sunset while the air is still.
- Plates and a knifeBring them. The camp buffet has serving equipment but nothing sized for a cake.
- DecorationsA banner or balloons are fine at your own table. Nothing that needs fixing to the camp structure, and please take it all home — the desert keeps what you leave.

An adult birthday and a child birthday are different bookings
Evening safari, VIP table
AED 250 a head for the full evening, or AED 150 with door pickup on the standard package. Add VIP majlis seating at AED 80 each and your group has the front row by the BBQ. Quads at AED 100 and the buggy at AED 800 if the birthday wants adrenaline.
Morning safari, private car
Out at six, back before noon, no 9:30 PM bedtime and no long wait for dinner. Under-fours need a car seat by law, so the private car at AED 700 is usually the honest recommendation. Full detail on the family safari page.
Overnight, AED 450
The camp empties after the day groups leave. If you want the desert quiet with your own people around a fire, this is the one — and it solves the crowding problem completely.
Sundowner or sunrise
AED 850 and AED 1,000 a head. Fewer people, better light, and no wait between activities and dinner. Expensive, and honest about why on the VIP page.
FAQs
Birthday safaris — your questions
Can I bring my own birthday cake?
Yes, and it is cheaper than any package. Hand it to the driver at pickup so it rides in the air-conditioned cabin rather than the boot. Choose something firm — fondant or chilled — because fresh cream does not survive an hour in an Abu Dhabi afternoon.
Is decoration included?
We do not sell a decoration package. Bring a banner or balloons for your own table and that is fine. Nothing fixed to the camp structure, and please take it home afterwards.
Will there be a birthday announcement?
No. It is a shared camp with a fixed show programme and we are not going to promise you a shout-out we cannot deliver. What we can do is reserve your table and time the cake.
Can we book the whole camp?
Not with us. Exclusive camp hire in this region runs into five figures before food. Our camp is shared every night and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
What time is the cake cutting?
Whenever you want. Golden hour before dinner gives the best photographs; after dinner is calmer. Tell your guide and he will bring it out.
Can we all sit together?
Yes — tell us the group size when you book and we reserve a table. VIP majlis seating at AED 80 a head puts you in the front row by the BBQ.
Can I play my own music?
Not over the camp speakers. A small portable speaker at your own table is usually fine — ask your guide on the night.
Is it suitable for a child’s birthday?
Yes, with the right trip. Take the morning safari rather than the evening, and note that under-fours need a car seat by UAE law, which usually means booking the private car at AED 700.
How much does a birthday safari cost?
The safari itself, from AED 40 self-drive to AED 250 for the full evening. There is no birthday surcharge. Add VIP seating at AED 80 a head if you want the front row.
How busy will the camp be?
Winter weekends are busy. Weeknights and shoulder months are much quieter. Ask us how your specific date looks and we will give you a real answer.
Do we pay a deposit?
No. Nothing is charged on this website. Cash or card at the camp, free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup.
