Full-Day Abu Dhabi City Tour: Eight Hours, Every Icon, No Bundled Tickets

The mosque, the palace, the Louvre, the Corniche and Yas Island in one private-car day — AED 599 for up to six people, with every entry ticket listed separately so the real total has no surprises in it.

  • AED 599 the car
  • 8–9 hours
  • Up to 6 people

A full day is the honest amount of time Abu Dhabi’s big five need. The half-day tour exists and works, but it works by leaving out the two great paid interiors — and if you have flown this far, you probably did not come to leave out the Louvre.

This page is the full day laid out hour by hour, with the cost stack in the open: one price for the car, every ticket listed separately, and the option to end the day on the dunes instead of in the hotel lift.

The route

Morning marble, afternoon island

Morning — the Grand Mosque first, when the coaches are fewest: the full ninety minutes, unhurried. Then Qasr Al Watan — the working presidential palace and its Great Hall.

Midday — lunch (arranged for around AED 60 a head, or wherever you prefer), then the western waterfront: Emirates Palace, Etihad Towers and the Corniche drive, with Heritage Village’s viewpoint if the schedule breathes.

Afternoon — the Louvre in the hottest hours, which is exactly where the rain-of-light dome belongs in the plan, then Yas Island to close: the circuit, the theme-park district, the marina.

The order is the product: interiors in the heat, water and viewpoints in the gold. Eight to nine hours, door to door.

The money

One car price, every ticket in the open

So a couple doing everything pays AED 599 + AED 256 in tickets; a family of four with children under 18 pays AED 599 + AED 260. That arithmetic in the open is the whole point — if a tour quote anywhere will not itemise, that is your answer about it. The complete comparison lives on the city tour page.

The format

Six people, one car, no headcount schedule

A coach tour runs to the slowest attraction and the fullest manifest. A private car runs to you: linger at the mosque, skip what bores you, move lunch, chase the light.

The price makes the choice easier than people expect: AED 599 across six people is AED 100 a head for eight hours with a driver-guide — coach-tour money for private-car control. A couple pays more per head (AED 250 each, as the city tour page says plainly) and a shared group tour elsewhere will beat it on price; we would rather tell you that than pretend.

Monday is the one calendar trap — the Louvre is closed — so we route Mondays differently or move the day. Flag your date and we will flag the clash.

The upgrade

End it on the dunes, not in the lobby

The full-day route finishes on the island side of the city in the late afternoon — which is precisely when the evening desert safari begins. The geography is asking for it.

City tour into evening safari is our favourite thing to arrange: icons all day, then dune bashing at golden hour, the camp, dinner off the grill and the fire show — safari from AED 100 a head with pickup, all options on prices and timings.

It makes a long day — honest warning — but for a short trip it compresses the two best things in the emirate into one date, and you sleep extremely well afterwards.

Booking

One message, no deposit

Send the date, head count and hotel on WhatsApp. We confirm the vehicle, the route, any Monday clash, and one total with the tickets itemised — nothing bundled, nothing padded.

Nothing is paid in advance: no deposit, no card details, pay on the day, free cancellation to twelve hours before pickup — the same terms as everything else we run.

Half-day version, self-guided alternatives and every ticket price sit on the main city tour page; layover-length versions of the city are on the getting-here hub.

Questions

The full day — your questions

How long is the full-day Abu Dhabi city tour?

Eight to nine hours, door to door, in a private vehicle with a driver-guide. It covers the Grand Mosque, Qasr Al Watan, the Louvre, Emirates Palace, the Corniche, Etihad Towers and Yas Island.

How much does the full-day tour cost?

AED 599 for the whole car – up to six people, not per person. A premium Land Cruiser with room for six adults is AED 799. Entry tickets are separate and listed plainly: the mosque is free, Qasr Al Watan AED 65, the Louvre AED 63.

Are entry tickets included?

No, and that is deliberate – we list every ticket separately so you can see the real total before booking. Bundled ‘all-inclusive’ city tour prices are where this market hides its margins.

What is the difference from the half-day tour?

The half day (AED 499) does the western icons: mosque, Emirates Palace, Corniche, Heritage Village. The full day adds Qasr Al Watan, the Louvre, Etihad Towers and Yas Island – the difference is the two big paid interiors and the island.

Can the full-day tour end at the desert safari?

Yes, and it is the best version of the day: the route already ends on the island side, and the evening safari picks up from there. Tell us on WhatsApp and we will sell you both as one plan with one total.

Is lunch included?

Not in the base price – lunch at a buffet or local restaurant is arranged for around AED 60 a head if you want it, or the driver stops wherever you prefer. Nothing is bundled that you cannot see.
